Rosewood's Day Vocational Services offers an array of vocational training, assistance and support services uniquely suited to each individual. Housed throughout the Rosewood grounds, these facilities include:

~THE OUTBACK~
Employment Opportunities at Rosewood This Sheltered Workshop setting is the site of our Vocational Rehabilitation/Job Coaching Department. A vocational instructor teaches daily living activities in a classroom setting to help clients learn and retain the skills needed to live and work as independently as possible. The sheltered workshop operates as an in-house employment center for individuals we serve. The Job Coaching Department works with persons seeking employment in the community.

Rosewood clients are a valuable resource for the community and the community is likewise a valuable resource for our clients.

Employment opportunities at Rosewood and throughout the community include a variety of jobs:

Clerical Assistants - Clients provide valuable assistance to employers in capacities such as paper shredding, photocopying, and other light clerical responsibilities. Rosewood clients also receive training in basic computer skills to enhance their employment and lifestyle.

Food service aides - Restaurants and food-service businesses employ a number of Rosewood clients. Valued for their punctuality and dependability, clients perform a number of job functions including busing tables, dishwashing and other duties.

Lawn care and cleaning crews - Many Rosewood clients work on teams throughout the community taking care of lawns and other maintenance duties. These individuals take special pride in their responsibilities as they assist in maintaining neat, clean and attractive homes and businesses.

Animal care - Several Rosewood clients list animal care as one of their primary responsibilities. Such responsibilities include feeding and maintaining the pens for the Rosewood rabbits. Clients are also involved with the training and care of the American Quarter Horses used in the Therapeutic Riding Program at the Rosewood Horse Ranch, which is located southwest of Great Bend.

~THE SOUTH QUARTER~
Employment Opportunities at Rosewood Adjacent to Rosewood's Administration Building, the South Quarter houses additional Day Service activities, including the Drum Therapy Program.
