Visitors will come from far and wide to enjoy top rodeo action and lots of family fun, all while paying tribute
to rodeo participants with disabilities. Nearly 50 riders will compete at the 13th Annual Rosewood Rodeo,
set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 7 at the Expo III Arena located at the Barton County Fairgrounds.
With two World Championship Trophies and numerous other prestigious awards, the skilled group of
riders from Rosewood Ranch has earned the distinction of being the most awarded Equine Therapeutic
Program for people with disabilities in the State of Kansas.

The Rodeo’s Grand Entry and Flag Ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. featuring the opening invocation
delivered by special guest and long time advocate of people with disabilities, Hon. Dan Biles of the
Kansas Supreme Court.

The Rodeo continues until the 4 p.m. Awards Ceremony, and concludes with the delicious Rosewood
Chuckwagon BBQ available to all at a cost of $5.

To accompany the Rodeo, which is their largest annual event, Rosewood Services has also slated a full
day of fun and entertainment geared toward families.

Guests can expect all the Rosewood Rodeo staples including wagon rides, face painting, free games and
prizes at the kids’ station, tasty fair food like funnel cakes, nachos, and more. Adults can bid on items at
the silent auction, which boasts many impressive prizes from a gun safe to sports tickets and home decor.
Fun merchandise like “Saturdays” T-shirts, custom crafts made by Rosewood clients, bath products from
The Studio and many other items will be available in the “Tack Shop”, all offered at special discounted
Rodeo Day prices!

The award winning Heartland Twisters all female drill team will perform at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The
Twisters have performed all across the midwest at venues large and small, including the Kansas State
Fair. Their special morning performance will honor our service men and women, followed by an afternoon
performance honoring cancer victims and survivors.
