Life Experience Program

The Recreation Services and Life Experience Programs

At Rosewood Services, we offer clients a diverse and entertaining assortment of activities in which to participate. Both group and one-on-one activities are scheduled that are tailor-made for clients. The program supports two important goals of Rosewood's mission: independence and inclusion.

Recreation provides many opportunities for relaxation and the development of personal and social skills as clients interact with their peers and others in the community. Activities include bowling leagues, field trips, dances, picnics, shopping, fishing and various community volunteer work.

In the Life Experience Program, clients may travel in order to fulfill their dream of a lifetime. These activities give clients the opportunity to learn more about themselves while experiencing things that would be difficult or impossible without the Life Experience Program.

In all of its services, Rosewood works hard with individuals, parents, guardians and staff to provide exciting and life-affirming programs for each client.

Family and Guardians

Rosewood Services welcomes involvement and participation from parents and guardians. Family members are welcome to visit at any time and are encouraged to attend all Rosewood activities as well as Family and Guardian meetings. Many meetings feature guest speakers on subjects of interest to family members and guardians of Rosewood clients.

Our Greater Purpose

Our Life Experience Program is just a small part of Our Greater Purpose of providing people with developmental disabilities the opportunity for independence and inclusion.
